Nope. It’s the name of an upcoming PC roguelike RPG from indie shop Grimm Bros<\/a> which has just launched a Greenlight campaign<\/a> to secure a release on Steam.<\/p>\n

Mixing fantasy JRPG tropes with dark humor and twisted fairytale inspirations, the game takes place across a diverse range of environments in a world set on the back of a giant dragon-turtle god known as Asura.<\/p>\n

In story mode, players will take on the role of Red Robin on a quest for revenge spanning a “custom blend of scripted events, crafted story quests and procedurally generated missions,” accompanied by the usual mix of in-depth character progression and exploration. Survival mode, on the other hand, will deliver a truer roguelike experience with permadeath and pure dungeon diving for the sake of surviving as long as possible to set a high score.<\/p>\n

Dragon Fin Soup<\/em>‘s combat is said to consist of tactical, turn-based mechanics and accessible, streamlined controls that are more action oriented in execution. RPG fans will also be treated to tons of other key features, such as a dynamic day\/night cycle, random changes in weather, pets, NPC party members, and all sorts of side activities like cooking, crafting, digging, fishing, mining, and rune tracking.<\/p>\n

As I’m sure you’ve already noticed, the game also has a somewhat dark yet charming 2D aesthetic that already looks glorious in the pre-alpha stage of development.
