Nintendo has partnered up with Loot Crate, the curators of monthly crates full of collectibles and gear for the modern geek gamer, to offer a limited run subscription plan featuring the Amiibo<\/a> toys, Nintendo’s take on the interactive video game figurine market made popular by Skylanders<\/em>. <\/p>\n

Loot Crate’s Amiibo<\/a> subscription plan will be separate from a regular subscription. The subscription will cover the delivery of 10 pre-selected Amiibo<\/a> figures split into three shipments over the course of the holiday season. Figures confirmed so far include Mario, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Fox and Yoshi.<\/p>\n

Pricing has not yet been announced, but for now you can click over to www.lootcrate.com\/amiibo<\/a> to sign up for the waiting list.<\/p>\n

In other exciting Amiibo<\/a> news, Nintendo has revealed the third wave of figures scheduled for release on January 22, 2015. At least in Japan; these figures have not yet been confirmed for North America. The newly unveiled batch of 11 figures is headlined by characters like Link from Wind Waker<\/em>, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Bowser, Sheik and Meta Knight. <\/p>\n
