THQ has picked up another new license to go along with the DreamWorks Master Mind<\/em> license it acquired earlier in the week<\/a>. A multi-year agreement has been inked with Marvel Entertainment that grants THQ exclusive rights to develop and publish video games for all platforms based on the Marvel Super Hero Squad<\/em>, Marvel’s new kid-friendly franchise that depicts all the classic Marvel superheroes and villains in a cutesy, caricature-like style. Too bad the first Marvel Super Hero Squad<\/em> game isn’t due until fall ’09, though. I’m no kid, but I’m still eager to see what it’ll be like.<\/p>\n

In addition to the video game, Marvel will also be pushing the brand with an animated TV series, comic books and various toy and costume lines from Hasbro, Disguise\/Cesar and Mega Bloks. So it looks like we’re going to be seeing a lot of the Marvel Super Hero Squad<\/em> over the next year or so.<\/p>\n
