SouthPeak Games has announced an interesting new title today. Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger<\/em>, in development by Atomic Motion for PC and Xbox 360, is a near-future military game set in the dense Amazonian jungles that blends real-time strategy with first-person shooting. The game will put you in command of eight mercenary soldiers, each with their own unique weapons and abilities, and allow you to switch between tactical RTS play and frenetic FPS action anytime you want.<\/p>\n \u201cRaven Squad combines two extremely popular genres into a single robust experience where either gameplay mode could stand on its own merits,\u201d said Melanie Mroz, CEO of SouthPeak Games. \u201cAtomic Motion is creating something that\u2019s visually compelling and building new boundaries in what a military title can accomplish. Fans of both RTS and FPS games are going to love it, as will anyone who enjoys intense, action titles.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n I don’t know about the whole “visually compelling” description (just look at the early screenshots below- looks pretty bland if you ask me), but the premise is certainly an intriguing one worth keeping an eye on.
