Developer Pixel Pi Games successfully Kickstarted<\/a> Pulse<\/em> back in 2013, and now it’s only a month away from completion.<\/p>\n

Pulse<\/em><\/a>, a first-person adventure game about a blind girl who must use echolocation<\/a> to see and navigate a mysterious world by mentally reconstructing her surroundings through sound propagation, has been confirmed for a launch date of October 20th. It’ll be available on Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux.<\/p>\n

If the unique sight-through-sound mechanic wasn’t enough to hook you in for a day one buy, you’ll surely fall in love with the atmospheric and uniquely stylized game world– which is said to be crumbling apart due to earthquakes–as well as the super-cute race of forest spirits called mokos. These adorable little fellas are the protagonist Eva’s friends, serving as a helpful sound source to help expand her vision of the game world. Backers who pledged enough to score a moko plushie have my eternal envy.<\/p>\n
