Austrian indie developer Broken Rules, studio behind titles like And Yet it Moves and Secrets Of Raetikon, has revealed the debut gameplay teaser for its next project Old Man’s Journey, “a soul-searching puzzle adventure” telling an old man’s “story of life, loss and hope” through “beautiful vignettes of his memories.”

The first thing that immediately jumps out is the game’s exquisite artistry and animation, which, when combined with the core mechanic of pulling and stretching the different environment planes to solve puzzles and create pathways for the old man to follow through the world, creates an arresting sort of layered, side view diorama effect.

Platforms have not yet been announced (Steam/PC seems like a given though) but we do at least know that the Old Man’s Journey will begin sometime this year.
