Another company is jumping into the “Play, Create, Share” genre kick started by Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet, with EA’s Bright Light studio today announcing Create.

In development for Mac, PC, PS3 (with Move support), Wii and Xbox 360, Create is a sandbox creation game in which players build and customize their own worlds and solve level-based challenges to unlock new props, tools, brushes and so on to decorate their levels with. All versions except the Wii will support content sharing — players can upload their levels and challenges for others to play or download and remix creations from other players.

“Create uses families’ imaginations to develop new ways to play together that are both fun and challenging,” said Harvey Elliott, VP and General Manager at EA Bright Light. “We wanted to design a game where the entire family can explore, decorate, and solve challenges where no solution is wrong and the only limit is the imagination.”

Watching the trailer and looking at the first screens (look down), I’m reminded of the old The Incredible Machine games, only crossed with LittleBigPlanet and, to a lesser extent, Scribblenauts.

Let your imagination run wild this November!
