Elemental: War of Magic, the latest 4X strategy epic from Stardock, maker of other strategy classics like Galactic Civilizations and Sins of a Solar Empire, launches this week, and a review copy showed up Monday in the form of the game’s Limited Edition box set. A copy of Elemental: Destiny’s Embers, the companion novel written by Stardock President, CEO and Lead Designer, Brad Wardell, also came included — though it is not part of the LE set. It shipped simultaneously with the game release this week and is now available at bookstores nationwide for $16.

Carrying a $70 price tag, the Elemental Limited Edition comes in an oversized, book-style box (w/ slip cover) containing a pewter dragon statue, a full-size poster, a soundtrack CD, a cloth (really more of a plastic-coated canvas) map of the game’s expansive fantasy world, and a 119-page encyclopedia loaded with game lore. Here’s a peek inside.

[nggallery id=1405] So yes, it is a very nice Limited Edition. Certainly one that will make Stardock strategy fans very, very happy. Now to see how the game turned out!

Elemental: War of Magic, the latest 4X strategy epic from Stardock, maker of other strategy classics like Galactic Civilizations and Sins of a Solar Empire, launches this week, and a review copy showed up Monday in the form of the game’s Limited Edition box set.
