In addition to unveiling its swank new Switchblade PC gaming handheld<\/a>, Razer rocked CES today by finally breaking into the console market with the company’s first Xbox 360 peripheral, the Razer Onza controller.<\/p>\n

The Razer Onza Xbox 360 controller, scheduled to go up for pre-order on January 17th, will be available in two iterations. The standard Razer Onza<\/a> will retail for $39.99 and feature two Multi-Function Buttons placed above the existing shoulder buttons (making for six shoulder buttons\/triggers total compared to the stock controller’s four) which can be remapped to any actions of the player’s choosing, a new and improved D-pad design, ‘Hyperesponse’ face buttons “designed with a shorter travel distance and minimized debounce time to increase your actuation speed to stay ahead of the competition” and a textured finish for added grip.<\/p>\n

For $10 more, the Razer Onza Tournament Edition<\/a> will offer the same base features of the standard version, plus adjustable analog sticks which twist for customizable resistance, backlit face buttons and a non-slip rubber surface material for maximum comfort. <\/p>\n

Unfortunately, neither model is wireless — but they are equipped with lengthy 15 foot cables. Like the stock Xbox 360 controller, both versions will also be fully compatible with Windows PC.<\/p>\n
