The Wii game lineup hasn’t exactly been the most impressive since the system launched, but it definitely got a boost today with the North American retail release of Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. Sure, owners of the GameCube version can already enjoy Capcom’s gaming masterpiece using the Wii’s backwards compatibility, but the new Wii Remote and Nunchuck control features should immerse players into the experience even more this time around with the introduction of intuitive hand movements for aiming, shooting, slashing and dodging. GameCubers miffed over the sweet extras later added to the PS2 version will now also be able to enjoy all of the bonus content they missed. And best of all, RE 4 Wii Edition is on store shelves at an easy-on-the-wallet price of $29.99, can’t beat that! We’ll check back in with a full review to let you know how the new controls work as soon as we can get our eager little hands on the game.
