Ubisoft has announced that it has five titles currently in development for Nintendo’s new Wii U console, including Ghost Recon Online<\/em> as well as Assassin\u2019s Creed<\/em> and Rabbids<\/em> projects. In a press release issued yesterday, the publisher also made mention of two new original IPs: a “multi-sports game for the whole family” and a “revolutionary first person shooter for the hardcore audience.” What that sports game is remains to be seen, but tonight the revolutionary FPS has been revealed.<\/p>\n

Killer Freaks From Outer Space, exclusively in development to be a Nintendo Wii U launch title next year, uses the console’s innovative controller to put a fresh spin on the fun but increasingly unsurprising first-person shooter genre. The game is still in its early stages, but as of now we know that it will make use of the Wii U controller’s screen and gyroscope to function as a viewfinder to aim and scan the environment.<\/p>\n

The plot behind the game is simple enough. A horde of Killer Freaks have invaded Earth, and as one of the few human survivors left it’ll be your job to trek across the globe and hunt down and kill these vicious aliens until none are left standing. Doesn’t get much more basic than that!<\/p>\n
