As of today, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 Xbox 360 pre-orders placed at select North American retailers will net you a disc copy of the official game demo, among other undisclosed “retail exclusive gift-with-purchase promotions.” If you aren’t sure if you want to put money down yet and would rather wait a couple weeks to try out the demo, THQ will also be releasing it via the Xbox Live Marketplace on October 15th. No mention of a downloadable PS3 demo, but hopefully one lands on the PlayStation Store in the weeks ahead too.
What are the contents of the demo you ask? According to the alert I received from THQ today, it will feature exhibition match play for one to two players, Rey Mysterio, Bobby Lashley, Undertaker and Randy Orton as the playable grapplers, and the RAW, SmackDown and ECW arenas to duke it out in.
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 ships for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii and DS next month.

This demo kicks ass. 4 playable characters, 3 arenas, full entrances, and all the new moves have been implemented. The graphics look much more realistic. The faces are VERY accurate. The new fighting styles are fun to use. The gameplay has been significantly improved. This is the best Smackdown I’ve played since Here Comes The Pain.
Haven’t tried it yet, but definitely will now. Good to hear it’s been improved quite a bit, the past couple Smackdown games were kinda a drop off for the series I thought. Didn’t like 2007 very much at all.

I VE got smackdown just bring it to smackdown vs raw 2007 but none of them compare to smackdown vs raw 2008. I reckon this game is going to be the best wresling game ever. one more thing the bestpart is the entrences and match types wel have fun playing it when it comes out on november 15.
