Xbox 360 Spring Update Goes Live

Xbox 360As of today, the Xbox Live Spring Update is available to download, and with it comes a number of new features and enhancements to the Xbox 360 user experience. The headline feature is the arrival of Windows Live Messanger, which connects 360s, PCs and Windows Mobile devices into one social network to enable Xbox Live users to unify their friends lists and chat across all three platforms.

Other upgrades with today’s Spring Update include more detailed on-screen Achievement pop-ups, enhanced family settings for video and voice chat, a standalone Xbox Live Marketplace menu blade, improved auto downloading, increased download speeds, a console auto-off function that can be set to automatically shut the system down after content has been downloaded and more.
