According to Major Nelson’s Blog, some users may still be having issues with the Xbox Live service this evening, even though maintenance was scheduled to be completed this morning.
This would probably explain why I can’t download the new Lumines Live and also why my Live connection just terminated when I started up Ninety Nine Nights. As Jack Bauer would say, “DAMMIT!”
