With Valhalla Knights already set for its date with the PSP on April 17th, XSEED Games has today announced the acquisition of exclusive publishing rights for three more RPGs, instantly making their 2007 line-up a very enticing one for hardcore RPG fans. Coming to the PSP are Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground, a simulation dungeon creator with real-time battles and network support for trading dungeons with other players, and Brave Story: New Traveler, an all-original RPG from developer Game Republic that will feature an epic story, unique characters, rich 3D graphics, traditional turn-based combat action, mini-games and more. Dungeon Maker is scheduled for release in July, while Brave Story is pegged with a Q3 2007 release period.
Alongside its heavy PSP support this year, XSEED is also bringing more RPG love to the PS2 in the form of Wild ARMs 5 – any new Wild ARMs game is good news to me! Set to release sometime in Q3 2007 to celebrate the cult series’ 10th anniversary in the business, Wild ARMs 5 is bringing back the unique HEX battle system from Wild ARMs 4 (with numerous upgrades of course, such as interchangeable party members and abilities and more varied battlefield layouts) while introducing a brand new storyline and character cast, expanded puzzle-solving action elements and dozens of cameos that promise to surprise longtime Wild ARMs fans.
