Yakuza 4 Demo Lays the Smackdown on PSN, Spreads Hostess Love

Like a 9-iron to the face, Yakuza 4 is bringing the pain to PSN later this month in the form of a playable demo, due out prior to the game’s full retail launch on March 15th. For PlayStation Plus subscribers, the demo will be available early on February 15th. For everyday Joe PSN users, it’ll go live the following week on the 22nd.

In the demo, you’ll be able to explore a small portion of the seedy Japanese underworld and get a feel for the fighting styles of the game’s four playable characters. I’m not sure if they’ll be in the demo, but when the full game ships the controversial hostess bars will finally be making an appearance in a US Yakuza game (they were cut from the localized version of Yakuza 3), along with karaoke pickup bars, massage parlors and pachinko palaces. If you’re brave enough, click play on the trailer below to see what goes on when Yakuza mingle with hostesses. Match made in heaven? Watch and see!
