XSEED Games recently inked a deal with Nihon Falcom to bring six RPGs to the PSP, beginning with this fall’s release of Ys Seven (nope, it’s no longer coming out over the summer). Although it is sad that the game is launching later than originally planned, the good news is there will now be a Limited Collector’s Edition SKU available in addition to the standard edition.
Ys Seven‘s Collector’s Edition, priced at $50, will come with a 12.5” by 34” cloth map, a soundtrack CD featuring 20+ songs, and a 60-page art book filled with artwork from Ys Seven and the two other upcoming PSP titles, Ys: The Oath in Felghana and Ys I & II Chronicles.
An official Ys series Facebook page has also been launched, and if you join by June 11th, you will be automatically entered into the “Name in Game” drawing to have an in-game character named after you. A total of 14 character spots will be awarded to entrants at random.
This is nice, but for $50?!
How much would it be for the digital?
Well, the standard edition UMD will be $30, so the PSN version will likely be the same.
