How does a trip for two to New York, two nights of hotel lodging, a $1,000 closed-door shopping spree at Nintendo World, $500 in spending money, a special-edition Nintendo DS Lite and a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass sound? Pretty damn incredible, no? Well, Nintendo is offering you the chance to win this unbelievable prize package in a new Zelda trivia contest in anticipation of the DS debut of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on October 1st.

Between now and October 26th, you must answer three Zelda-themed trivia questions either by texting “Zelda” to “20769” on your mobile phone or by visiting Zelda.com and entering via mail. If you answer all three questions correctly, you’ll then be eligible for a chance to win the uber grand prize detailed above. As a nice booby prize, nine runners-up will be awarded a special-edition DS Lite of their own and a copy of Phantom Hourglass. Full list of rules and regulations is available at Zelda.com.

To countdown the remaining days until Phantom Hourglass‘ long-awaited launch, Nintendo is also offering a cool Zelda hourglass countdown widget to download and put on your desktop or favorite social networking site.
